Artsreach and Supporters Celebrate the Summer!

Wed 30 Aug 2017

Over one hundred and seventy theatre enthusiasts descended on the stunning venue Springhead Gardens in Fontmell Magna, Dorset to celebrate the finale of the Artsreach autumn programme of events in early August.

As the sun shone and mute swans glided across the lake in the distance, Cornwall's Miracle Theatre ventured into a world somewhere between Alice in Wonderland and Father Ted as they presented a hilariously wacky interpretation of Flann O’Brien’s cult classic ‘The Third Policeman’.

With its comic characters, streaks of dark humour and unforgettable plot twist, Artsreach audience members and staff from Blanchards Bailey, lead supporters of the counties arts charity, brought the curtain down on a summer season which saw over two thousand four hundred people attending live performances across Dorset.

With many revellers arriving early to enjoy a picnic in the gardens of Springhead and soak up the atmosphere, the event also gave time for the celebration of the continued support that Artsreach from Blanchards Bailey.

Kerry Bartlett, Co-Director at Artsreach said “This summer has been a hugely successful for Artsreach, with almost all performances reaching capacity and the exciting confirmation that our Arts Council Funding is secured for a further four years. Coupled with that, we have enjoyed the continued support of local legal firm Blanchards Bailey, and the event at Springhead was the perfect opportunity to celebrate together.

It was lovely for our audience to be welcomed to the show by members of the Blanchards Bailey team, and everyone seemed to enjoy the opportunity to eat al fresco beside the lake too!”

To help the evening’s celebrations go off with a bang, the audience enjoyed a complimentary drink courtesy of Blanchards Bailey. Find out more about our supporter by visiting their website.
