New Album Launch and Dorset Song Premiere!

Born out of a mutual love of traditional folk songs and shanties, The Longest Johns are a Bristol-based folk band covering everything from maritime songs to experimental contemporary folk.

In a few short years, singers Jonathan Darley, Robbie Sattin and Andy Yates have gone from singing sea shanties in a kitchen to appearances at International folk festivals, worldwide tours and TV appearances, and have also gained a huge online following as the face of the 2021 sea shanty revival with their cover of the 19th century anthem ‘Wellerman’, which reached millions of new fans all across the globe.

The Longest Johns kick start their 2024 tour with a special performance at Swanage's Mowlem Theatre with Artsreach, following the release of their 5th studio album ‘Voyage’.

This concert will also feature a premiere of a new track, 'Drop the Hammer,' - a captivating ode to quarrying around the Jurassic Coast which was commissioned by Artsreach and which features local singers from across Dorset.
