‘BSO On Your Doorstep’, an initiative made possible thanks to support from the Weston Culture Fund, will see a selection of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra musicians playing in brand new chamber ensembles as the orchestra returns to the road, reconnecting with audiences across the South West and bringing live music directly to local communities!
Join a BSO chamber ensemble featuring players from across the orchestra for a celebration of the sea in 'From the Hebrides to Padstow'. Featuring music from Handel and Mendelsohn to the Beatles and Adele, and presented by a BSO Associate Musician to guide audiences of all ages on a nautical musical journey.
Chief Executive, Dougie Scarfe, said, “Ordinarily, we’d have played around 150 concerts in 40 venues during the last year — instead we’ve kept going with a series of livestreamed concerts — and now, thanks to support from the Weston Culture Fund, we’re ready to get back out on the road to see our loyal audiences who have helped us in keeping the music alive!”

Over the winter, our community volunteers, audiences, funders and sponsors have been simply fantastic. We thank them all for their ongoing support and encouragement as we continue with the launch of a vibrant indoor programme of live performances across rural Dorset this spring.
Here you can read the most updated version of the guidance which applies to all Artsreach events; we will monitor and update this throughout the season as required. Read our latest information document here
