26 February - 9 April 2000Making Advances was an exciting collection of experimental work from nine leading artists who seek to challenge the boundaries between craft and fine art. Artists included international textile artist Michael Brennand-Wood, contemporary textile artist Lucy Brown, printmaker, bookbinder and photographer Kate Farley, plus artists Nora Fok, Vanessa Johnson, Eyv Saunders, Malisa Sledmere, Helen Smith and Jeff Soan.
Toured to: Ansty, Sturminster Marshall, Stalbridge, Edmonsham and Fontmell Magna.
Workshops included: Hand-hooked textiles, reconstructing garments and book art
