Body Talk

Body Talk was part of the Self Centred project which saw four community groups work with 'artist in residence' Tom Weld to explore the concept of Self - a symbiotic relationship between body and mind. The Self is defined internally, by us as individuals and extrenally, in relation to others. The reuslting work from the residencies was then incorporated in to a specially commisioned book by exhibiting artist Catherine Batten.

Exhibited works included prints, photographs, painted and stitched textiles, conceptual clothing, reconstructed textiles, jewellery and mixed media installations.

Toured to: Durweston, Holton Lee, Burton Bradstock, Stalbridge and Thornford

Workshops included: Taster sessions in reflexology and Indian head massage
