Acoustic by nature, Latchepen perform jazz on strings, with influences ranging from Romani music through to bebop. Band members Matt Holborn (violin), Kourosh Kanani (guitar), Dave Kelbie (guitar) and Simon Read (bass), regularly play at venues in their home of London such as as Ronnie Scotts, as well touring all over the UK playing arts venues and village halls.
Between them, they have performed with most of the leading figures in the style all over the world at festivals such as the Django Reinhardt festival, Turin Jazz Festival and March Manouche (UK).
