Farnham Maltings invites you to The Greatest Gift, a re-telling of the original story behind It’s a Wonderful Life
Philip Van Doren Stern originally wrote It’s a Wonderful Life as a short story under the title The Greatest Gift, which he sent to friends and family as a Christmas present. Much later it became the classic film we now know.
Farnham Maltings wants to rekindle the original spirit of the idea by presenting a simple re-telling of It’s a Wonderful Life, completely free to communities who have previously welcomed the company as a way to reconnect with them and each other...
Welcome to Bedford Falls, Welcome to small town America. Welcome to Farnham Maltings’ winter retelling of the story of George Bailey, a middle-aged clerk discovering the difference he has made to his family, his friends and his hometown – with a little help from Clarence, the apprentice angel.
Join Farnham Maltings for a warming 60 minutes of storytelling with Mick Strobel and live music from accordionist Nigel Waterhouse - a gift from Farnham Maltings to the communities of Drimpton and Yetminster at Christmas time - Happy Christmas.
Attending a Live Performance
We are thrilled to be back with some live performances in our community venues once more!
To keep you safe, we will be seating households and support bubbles at a social distance for the performance, in line with government regulations. Please make sure that your booking is for your household/support bubble only, maximum of 6. If you want to book for someone else who isn’t in your household/support bubble, that’s fine - just book for your household and then book their tickets as a new transaction, or encourage them to book directly.
Please be aware that those aged 11+ are required to wear a mask at all times within village halls/community spaces.
This will be a 60min performance with no interval, but you are free to visit the toilets at any time.
We ask that you respect the social distancing measures in place at all times and thank you for supporting this tour.
